Client Scenario

Real life client scenario – working to pay off debt. This client chose to attack a larger dollar amount attacking a personal loan rather than doing the snowball since it held more emotional weight than she could handle. She may have done this out of order from the Dave Ramsey Baby Steps, but so what? She is killing it when it comes to paying off debt. She is so insanely focused that I am super proud of her progress.

The personal loan was from a previous relationship and she needed to let go of that emotional weight. She had been carrying this around for too long and said, “I’ve had it!” Since she is really determined to pay this off quickly, it has become the lowest dollar amount in her snowball. Sure it was unconventional, but it will empower her so much more knowing that she is in control of her finances. She thought she was going to have to be paying off debt for nearly 4-5 years. I told her that she could probably be done in 2.5-3 years. She couldn’t believe it. Hope is what she clings to.

Her choices to sacrifice things now, to have a life where she can live and give like nobody else, is having a lasting impact on this transformation. In a few short months, she will no longer be held captive by this emotional weight. Freedom. That is what she wants for her life. She wants freedom and to be able to do it on her terms, not someone else’s.

Are you in a similar situation? Do you need to be offered hope and a way out of the hole you created? I can guide you through, but you have to be willing to put in the work. You have to be willing to change your behaviors and mindset. You have to believe that you can do it. Are you ready to get started?
